Hi, I’m Emily.

The Bruin Edit grew out of my own introduction to motherhood, which looked a little different than I expected. After IVF, a complicated pregnancy, and a NICU stay, I eventually found myself navigating toddler life and realizing just how much I had learned along the way.

And if you’re wondering about the name…

Bruin is our three-year-old English Lab, named by my husband Patrick and me long before we became parents to our son, Liam. He was our first “baby,” and The Bruin Edit is named after him as a little reminder of where our family started.

This space has evolved since I first created it. It’s not just a place to share baby products. It’s where I share what I’ve learned from IVF, pregnancy, the NICU, and life after bringing a baby home, along with the products and resources that have genuinely been useful to our family.

Some of what I share is practical. Some is personal. Some is simply the reality of raising a toddler after everything that came before.

And yes, I’ll still tell you which products I actually think are worth buying.

I don’t share everything we own. I share what has earned a spot in our real life, what I’d buy again, and what I wish someone had told me sooner.
